Arts and wellness for social justice.
Grown Women Dance Collective’s mission is to create cross-cultural, intergenerational, and cross-class connections by encouraging dialogue, empowering thought and action, and building cross racial alliances through concert dance and wellness programs. Our programs uplift, empower, and inspire community members to impact social change.
How We Inspire Change
We create social impact through three areas of focus: performing arts, wellness, and career preparation. In a time where Black life, liberation, and alliance building have a renewed understanding of importance, we are doing important work. Join us.
Our Progress
What began as a mission to bring amazing performing arts to the community has grown into so much more. For 11 years, we’ve presented full length, world-class dance concerts, taught free dance classes to financially challenged children, decreased back pain, and strengthened the bodies and minds of our elders in the community.
“This program makes me think, “What can I do to be a better person? How can I make the world better?”
